And also ask the government what they are doing about their killers.

Beyonce releases promo shots & tour dates for 'The Mrs Carter World Tour'

Beyonce has released promo shots and also announced the dates of her 'The Mrs Carter Show - World Tour,' which will begin on April 15 in Belgrade, Serbia and move to 14 other countries in Europe, then back to the US where she will perform in 19 states plus two shows in Canada. Wow, Beyonce! That's a lot of singing and dancing. Some of the shows are even back to back.

Lagos court sentences 30 beggars to Kirikiri prison for begging alms

Beggars are now being locked up for begging alms in Lagos. Wow! About 30 of them were sentenced to Kirikiri Prison, some Badagry prison by the Special Offences Magistrate Court sitting in Alausa, Ikeja, today Monday February 4th.

The Attorney General of Lagos State said the beggars committed an offence under the criminal law of the State.

Begging alms in the streets of Lagos is illegal and the state environmental agency is doing all they can to get rid of as many beggars as they can. But is sending them to Kirikiri prison the answer? What do you guys think?

The first daughter of multi millionaire businessman Leo Stan Ekeh, who is the chairman of Zinox Technologies limited, married her Ondo state beau, Tolu Ijogun this past Saturday February 2nd at Eko Hotel, Lagos.

Gozie Ekeh and Tolu Ijogun had their traditional wedding at the brides hometown in Mbaitolu LGA of Imo state on Sunday January 27th, while their white wedding held this past Saturday. Beautiful couple. Congrats to them!

Majek Fashek chained at his home over deteriorating mental health

Majek Fashek is suffering from Schizophrenia according to the doctors taking care of him and his condition is getting really bad. Since he disappeared over the holidays and reappeared in January, he has been uncontrollable. People close to him said he overdid the drugs this time around and his mental illness has deteriorated seriously. People around his neighborhood in Gowon Estate Ipaja now avoid him like a plague. He walks around talking to himself and sometimes sits at a bus stop around his area playing his guitar while little kids make fun of him. To stop him from roaming around, and maybe hurting himself, sometimes people who care for him chain him at his Ipaja home, especially when he gets really out of control.

Some people are saying it's a spiritual problem. Whatever it is, hope he gets serious help before it's too late. Such a sorry situation.

Cancer Awareness Campaign with Toke, Vixen, Tosyn, and Shine

 

As January is cervical cancer month and World Cancer Day is February the 4th, the people at Brown Eyez wanted to use the power of radio and the influence of its female presenters to raise awareness of cervical cancer in a fun creative way.

The participating on air personalities (OAPs) from the radio stations decided to speak through a photo shoot with an emphasis on using the colour green which represents cervical cancer.

Beyonce worked through a medley of her hits, including "Love on Top," "Crazy in Love," "End of Time," and "Baby Boy" before she was joined by Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. The trio started with "Bootylicious" and worked through "Independent Woman" before collaborating on "Single Ladies,". Kelly and Michelle then left the stage, leaving Beyonce to perform "Halo" solo. Up Super Eagles!

So we beat Cote D'Ivoire in the quarter final match this evening: 2-1. Sincerely I was surprised... a lot of us wrote them off, abi? But they put in a sensational performance, their best so far and put us through to the next round. I don't know about you guys, but for me o, our keeper Enyeama is still the most outstanding Super Eagles player so far. But they are all heroes! Standing ovation for the Super Eagles!

We are meeting Mali at the Semi-Finals. I'm very confident now that we will be in the final of this year's Africa Nations Cup. #ProudNigerian

Oh and Emmanuel Eboue impersonator...chop chicken! Hahahaha!

Super Bowl Sunday is finally here. The game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens will feature two Nigerians - James Ihedigbo, 29, and Kelechi Osemele, 23, (above) of the Ravens.

That body on James tho. *Whew!* I don't understand American football but I'm definitely tuning in to Super Sports later today to watch him the game! :-)
